I’m (26M) interested in someone I work with and I’m thinking of making a move on her (26F). I like her and we flirt occasionally. It seems like she’s interested in me too – she looks for reasons to talk to me, talks a lot about herself, does most of the talking – all good signs.
My question is what are things that I should know or be careful with when it comes to dating someone from work? Obviously, we would need to have a serious conversation about things if it were to reach relationship level and we would need to keep our personal and professional lives separate. You could name a million reasons why it’s bad to date someone you sit next to all day, but if there’s attraction, I don’t see a reason not to take a shot. I just want to make sure I handle this correctly.
