In the dating world, not everyone has the best intentions. Which can be scary because most people who are seeking love are ready and willing to put their heart on the line. However, it’s really important to know who you are dating and their motives because there are people who target vulnerable folks, usually those who have nurture or accommodating dispositions.
These romance scammers or users seek to exploit genuine people for their own means. These scammers are looking to feed their egos and often seek money, attention, control, and companionship, with little regard for the person they are using. They are emotional succubus that use people, suck them dry, and then dump their victim when a better form of “supply” comes along. It’s not always easy to spot these users so here are some ways to identify a romance scammer.
