5’6 Male at 35yrs

Hello Reddit, just wanted to reach out and share my view from down here as a below average height male in his 30s. I personally never had issue with my height growing up and I was not picked on as a small person. Still today, my height is fine with me other than the consistent rejection I encounter from women. I feel this prevents me from being with the type of women I want to be with.

I have come to the conclusion that height and size of a man are statistically THE most important factor in the dating world, especially in modern hook-up culture when it comes to creating sexual attraction in the beginning. I have seen women eye-fuck my 6'4 good friend in public while I feel invisible.

Nothing else matters within those first sparky moments; career job, no criminal record, friendly laid back attitude, good sense of humor, full smile, artistic passion, generous, athletically active etc. They just don't know that about me. And if they do, it still doesn't seem to cause good things to happen. How can any of this matter when lack of height and size cause total rejection? I recently was told flat out, "sorry you are too short" by a woman who was about my height. I continuously see height requirements on profiles. I consistently get asked my height in random online conversations. The only prospects I end up with are very overweight women who have such low self esteem. Here I am a non-smoker, running every other day, going to the gym a few times a week. I'd like to meet someone who is at least in shape too. Is that so shallow of me as well? I am not looking for super models, I definitely try to keep an open mind. Pretty sure we're all animals and all this is just evolution at work.

My heart aches from a great deal of rejection. It's very challenging to keep my self esteem up. I wish to stop caring about any of this.
