Long story short: I got conned by someone who offers me money to have sex with him.
His profile says that he will offer financial support to girls and he's 23 and 190cm based in LA. He doesn't have pics but I matched with him out of curiosity. He's pretty straight up about wanting to have sex with me and will pay, but I don't like his demeanor and I turned him down. (We were talking in another DM app and he actually deleted me twice)
The money he offered is about a month of my salary and it does sound pretty tempting, because I am actually in need of some cash to pay bills and all that. I turned him down because I am worried about my safety since I know nothing about him and the whole thing "sounds too good to be true".
A few days ago he showed up again and asked if I'm still willing to do it. I wrote down all the pros and cons of doing it and finally I decided I will take my chances, and so we had an agreement. One night around 7:30 pm he said how about we meet tonight, I agreed and he asked me to book a room and buy a bottle a wine and he will pay me back along with that money he offers. I did just that and met him downstairs of the room I booked.
To my surprise, he's actually kinda cute and looks like the kind I'd date in normal circumstances. I was expecting someone fat ugly with a tiny dick, but he's quite the opposite. When we got to the room, he transferred me the money before we got into bed, he even showed me the page of successfully transferred info on it(I didn't get to take a closer look at it).
The sex is actually pretty decent. After he's done he hopped into the shower and he asked me to take a shower too. I asked him, hey I still didn't see the money on my account and he gave me a pretty solid reason and saying it should be there in half an hour(which is over already). I didn't think much about it and I went to shower. By the time I got out(less than 5 minutes) he's gone, and I got a text saying that his friends are downstairs and he needs to go but he'd come back later. He said his friend got some emergency and called him a few times but he missed the call. Later I figured out it's a lie because when he's at the shower I checked his phone and there's no notification of missed call or whatsoever.
Of course he didn't come back that night and the next day we're not talking. I still didn't get the money so I asked him if he could check. The whole day he didn't reply and I'm pretty sure I got conned. He unmatched me on Tinder and I deleted him on that DM app, later I found he blocked me there. I got pretty disgusted by it and I use another account trying to add him, and he replied asking me what I want, I said how about answering my question about where's the money? And he blocked me again and now I can't find him anywhere since he changed his privacy settings.
I've been on Tinder for almost 7 years and I've met with over 100 people to say the least, pretty much been through all sorts of things and I can say I'm good with reading Tinder people, but being conned like this it's the first time. First of all, he's just too good with the details, it's so damn convincing that I can't imagine why he would go through all this trouble just to have free sex. He's not stealing from me or harming me physically, he doesn't have any of my private info or nudes with faces of me that he can leak, and we wore condoms and play it safe the whole time, it's unlikely he's trying to get me STD or got me pregnant. The whole time we were together is less than an hour, and despite what happened afterward I'd say the whole experience is pleasant.
So now what's left me is a super disgusting feeling and extra bills that I have to pay(which I am broke already). I actually see this coming so I'm not as mad or sad, as I made that decision consciously, it's just another lesson I bought with money. Even so, I'm still overwhelmed by my feelings, they're worse than I anticipated. And I can't talk to anyone about this because I definitely don't want my friends to know that I'm being a s*t to f*k for money and a stupid that got conned.
And yes you can say I deserve this and I'd agree with you too. So my takeaway for this whole shitshow is: when something is too good to be true, they usually are. Carefully what you wish for and don't get carried away by your perceived rewards and expectations.
I am not ashamed of myself for trying to take money for sex, if you've ever been in a desperate situation and you'd know that money can easily buy one's integrity. I'm now on full-on depression mode(been dealing with it a very long time) and I have trust issues that I don't know how long it'd take for me to meet with people again. I'm depressed not because of this incident, but rather how I realized being a Tinder veteran and at the age of 28 I'm still broke and single af and not having someone to love or be loved, still dealing with toxic people and doing dirty business that I can't even tell.
Don't get me wrong, I'm actually fine being single and I've had some of the most amazing experience out of Tinder, along with many terrible ones like this one. Don't be discourage by my story but do learn my lessons so that you won't get yourself into a bad situation as I did. Also if anyone knows why this guy is doing what he's doing please let me know so I can better avoid them in the future.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading:) I already feel better by typing it all out. Please don't comment if you're going to say something negative, I have a pretty fragile heart
