One time, there was this girl that was interested in me, and I sort of was interested in her, but not enough to start dating. We eventually got together for about two months, during which we didn’t do anything special together besides casually hanging out. Throughout that time, I wasn’t feeling attracted to her, or even committed to her. Eventually, I felt terrible for almost leading her on in this relationship where I really didn’t do anything. I broke up with her, explaining that I hadn’t been a very good boyfriend and that I wasn’t giving her the time she deserved. I ended up feeling like trash after doing it, because her friend kindly informed me that she was completely broken over it. I want to avoid this situation again, so how do I(kindly) reject a girl who is completely interested in me? I’m essentially garbage when it comes to this, so I have no idea what to do.
