I'm in my mid 30s and new on the dating scene after coming out of a long relationship.
I am seeing a girl at the moment and am curious to get other's input on the speed at which things are going. It feels a little too slow to me.
We've been on 7 dates over the last month. They've been a little limited due to COVID, so have mostly been coffee dates or meals at restuarants or at each other's place. We have not kissed yet and have only started hugging recently – on dates 5 and 6. On date 7 we kind of snuggled on the couch while watching a movie. In all cases she initiated.
I'm worried that maybe I am going too slow with this. But, I'll be honest, the last long-term relationships I've been in have started in my 20s with drunken hook ups merging gradually into a "well, I guess we're dating now" sutation. I've not dated/courted someone "normally" before (we met on Tinder). I am terrified I am boring her or maybe coming accross as not interested by taking everything too slow, but I just don't know WTF I'm doing half the time. I've been organising dates, but kind of been letting her lead with the physcial stuff.
Am I/we going too slow? Is this ok? Am I over analysing things?
