An old fling asked me out on a date for coffee tomorrow. I asked him straight up about his current girlfriend and he said they’ve been on a break for about a week. I haven’t responded because I’m not sure if it’s okay to ask for more detail.

I don’t feel comfortable going on a date with someone and potentially develop feelings for him again if there’s a chance she’s still in the picture. Is that my place to ask? Also is that disrespectful to his girlfriend? I would love to see him but I feel like it’s so wrong. Confused on what’s right here
