I just don’t have much energy for texting these days. I can definitely hold a conversation, but I’m mostly invested in it as a metric that someone I’m interested in is interested in me as well. I’ve matched with some very interesting girls on Hinge recently, and I want to get to know them better, but texting just feels so lifeless compared to talking.
This brings me to my next issue, which is that video dating also feels super weird. I like to do things on dates, whether that be get dinner or go for a hike/ski/pick your outdoor poison, and just calling to talk with someone I’ve never met doesn’t entice me at all. I’ve seen others post stories on here of amazing video dates, but what are you actually doing on them?
