I (22 f) do not approach people often. I only put myself out there after I already feel very strongly about a person. As a result, I’ve only really asked 3 guys out and they all rejected me. Since I feel so strongly about these dudes, when they reject me I really need a distraction to avoid unproductive self-pity.
When the first guy rejected I really got into art as a distraction. The next rejection really got me into roller skating. The most recent one has gotten me to finally learn sudoku.
Is anyone else’s life using heartbreak as a tool for character development?? If so, what skills have you picked up to distract you from the pain?
