Hey everyone I hope your weekend is going well for you!
I just wanted to put out there that while you absolutely don’t owe me a full blown explanation for anything if we’re dating/talking, at the very least I ask that you just tell me you’re done. Rather than completely disappear I would much prefer you to just say “I’m not interested in continuing this” or “I would prefer if we stopped talking”. Even if I text back and question your decision, you’ve already done your courtesy of telling me what’s up and I will respect you for that at the very least. When you ghost, I have no idea what’s happening. Did you get into a car wreck and now you’re in the ER passed out? Did your phone break or die? Did you change your number and think you told me but forgot? Are you somewhere where phones aren’t allowed? Did your service get cut? Did you miss my text? Did I say something wrong or offensive? I have no idea what’s happening and I don’t know if something is genuinely wrong. Imagine thinking someone is ghosting you and in reality they’re fighting for their life in a hospital somewhere.
All I would like is just a quick heads up that you’re done. You don’t have to respond to my questions after that at all you can even go ahead and block me if you like. Sure I may be upset but I know what’s up and I respect that, and I know to just move on rather than contemplate the circumstances. Anyone else feel this way?
