We've been talking for a while through tinder chat/Snapchat and I asked him a while back if he wanted to go out for drinks or something after lockdown and he said "Yeah sure". He mentioned he couldn't before lockdown because his mum is a keyworker, which I thought was fair enough.
But a few days ago, I saw him in one of his friends Instagram stories (I'll admit, I stalked him online a little) sitting by the beach with her, eating a picnic and chilling out.
I messaged him and asked if he could be upfront with me and tell me if the reason he didn't want to go out was solely because of lockdown, or if it's something else. He said, "It’s not about me giving it to her, it's about her giving it to people with compromised immune systems" "that's who she works with." Again, this is completely fair, but I just saw him chilling with his friend by the beach?
Probably came across a bit desperate with this but I said: "Alright, how about this. When restaurants/bars/pubs reopen, then we can go out. Deal? Social distancing could go on inevitably by the looks of it"
He said "Sure, but that's still not for a while" followed by "plus I don't plan on suddenly dying within the next 2 weeks"
Tried to save myself here because he clearly didn't take that too well: "Neither do I, but if I find someone like you on tinder who's interesting and cute, I don't really want to wait that long before getting to know them. Obviously the circumstances are different due to the virus, I'm just saying"
Finally ended with him saying "Sure, haha. I mean you can ask me any questions about me right now haha I’m an open book"
Anyone got any advice? The date for when pubs/bars/restaurants reopen was confirmed today, which is on the 15th of July. When should I message him about setting an actual date?
