Recently I have been seeing this guy (well, before quarantine, actually seeing him in person), and a week or so ago I had enough courage to ask over text what he thought about our relationship and where this was going because I feel like our conversations and the times we have met up have mostly just been about sex. Is this all just for sex? Is it more?
This is how the conversation went:
Me: Hey! I really like you and enjoy your company, do you feel the same? Does our relationship consist of just sex, or is there more to this? Because I feel like we mostly just talk about/do sexual things and we don't really try and get to know each other. If it is just sex, that is okay! Just let me know so I can adjust my expectations/energy. I would just appreciate your honesty and transparency.
Him: No! I actually really like you and would love for this to be more than just sex. I just thought that was what you wanted so I matched your actions.
Me: Great, glad we're on the same page!
And, lo and behold, I haven't really heard from him since. Ghosted.
I just don't understand? I asked for honesty and even said that we could remain having sex once all of this is over if he didn't feel the same. I just wanted to know so that I wouldn't put anything more into this other than sex and he blatantly lied to me. This man is also 30 years old. I just.. don't understand. Has this happened to you before? Any insight?
