I (23m) met this girl (23f) in my office. We went on a few after work drinks with other colleagues and got talking. She added me on Facebook and we started messaging casually. Just before lockdown I went for drinks with her twice away from work, but both times she bought a (male) friend with her. On the way home after the second drinks I sent her a fairly straight up text suggesting that next time we should go for drinks with just us two, and she replied that night fairly positively saying that she is up for it.
Unfortunately, at this point Covid-19 raised its ugly head which ruined any chance of a date and she ended up moved back with her parents to escape the city. Since then we have been messaging pretty much every day, and have recently had a few video chats/watched some Netflix together using Neflix Party. Things seem to be going well but for the life of me I cannot tell if she likes me back. I know she also watches shows with other male friends, and even though the calls are good fun and we talk a lot, they haven’t been massively flirty.
My question is essentially this, how can I tell if she is interested in me, or if she just sees me as a friend and is as bored and lonely as the rest of the world during this pandemic. I don’t really want to ask directly because I think we need to keep things slow if I have any chance of sitting out lockdown.
