One of the worst “pieces of advice” or “rules” of dating i see too often is that were never supposed to ask about or talk about past relationships. I find that you often can see much more revealing aspects of a person’s personality by the way they describe their exes and talk about what broke them up. I recently had a guy say that his previous relationship ended the same reason my previous relationship ended, which helped me see whether we should continue or not. The best way to predict future behavior is past behavior, so why wouldn’t this apply to our dating lives?
