I’m in a place where I think I’m ready for a relationship. I’m happy with who I am and I want to share that with someone while getting to know them. However, it seems like whenever I start talking to someone new I get too invested or interested too quick and I get anxious. I’m scared that I’ll push them away, but in the end I’m really just a talkative person especially so with romantic interests.
I also get anxious that they’ll find something they don’t like about me and it’ll end. This became true with a girl I was spending a lot of time with for a few weeks before quarantine happened, and we had so much in common and it seemed to be going great but then she essentially came out of nowhere and said she wanted things to be platonic. As I said before, I personally think I’m a cool, good looking person but I do struggle with thoughts that someone I’m interested in won’t want anything more than friendship. Once they do say they only want to be friends, I’m super disappointed but still able to tell myself that I have plenty of good qualities.
