How have you guys gone about defining a romantic relationship with someone?

I’ve been dating this guy (I’m 21F, he’s 22M) for almost three months. I know labels are “just labels” – but it is less about putting a “girlfriend/boyfriend” label on it, and more that I wanna make sure me and him are on the same page about what we want. I’ve begun to have some serious feelings for him and want a monogamous relationship.

But I am super terrified to actually initiation that discussion, I’ve never had to do it before.

With this guy, he has never once made me question his intentions. It feels like we are in a relationship (He introduced me to his parents and that means something, right?) but we haven’t defined it, haven’t had any sort of discussion about like, whether or not we are seeing other people, etc.

He has never made me feel like I can’t talk to him about my feelings, I am just a SUPER ANXIOUS person and wanna come up with a script/guideline in my head prior to initiating the discussion, which I think I want to, the next time we hang out.

So what has that conversation looked like for you guys? Any tips or advice on how to go about it?
