Hi all,

I’m 22 years old and I’ve tried and never really gotten anywhere with three people in the past. This is my first time taking a real shot at getting with someone I’m into, and I mean actually putting effort into it and trying to make it happen.

She’s already asked me a few days in if I would want to go on a date with her. We’re busy but getting it planned. I’m really nervous, because: 1) Again, first time doing this; 2) I still live at home and take care of my grandmother; and 3) I’m trying to NOT be ultra introverted with all of this. I’ve been terrible with cues my entire life, but it seems like it’s a bit easier now that I’ve gotten older.

I know that this is all so early, but I’ve got a lot of questions to answer eventually! Is the living at home deal going to be a deal-breaker? Would it be for you? (I’m actually caring for her, it’s not a “living in the basement” type situation.) That’s my biggest worry right now. It feels like I look like a loser.

Also, first date… I have NO clue what to do. I do much much better with spontaneous stuff, I was trying to get that to happen this weekend but no dice. Plans make me so anxious but I know they’re necessary. It’s all nerve wracking!

Anyways, I’m not 100% sure if I’m here for advice or just to get it all off my chest. She’s a wonderful person (known her for months but just now started really talking a lot) and I’d love for things to work out!
