I’m new to this community, so apologies if I’m beating a dead horse here.
I’ve been single since the divorce a few years ago. I’ve dated off and on to no success, with my primary source of dates being the various internet dating services thanks to my custody schedule and work schedule, but I haven’t used them in months now because of the lack of success in meeting someone there. Trying to get into another relationship would be nice (in theory), but is not a priority… until it is. Allow me to preach to the choir.
The thing is I am perfectly happy with my single-life routine. I do what I want when I want basically, and have found a real solace in that freedom.
Lately though, I’ve noticed some loneliness creeping into the picture, and I’m having a hard time juxtaposing the 2 polar opposites- loving the single life and all that entails, and hating the dating life and all that it entails, but occasionally craving the comfort of a committed relationship
This leaves me at a crossroads and looking for advice, hence this post. What can I do to find a happiness in a space I’m really comfortable, and at the same time suppress the loneliness that is making that act difficult? Obviously I’m not ready for a committed relationship yet, but the 25% of the time I’m lonely fucking sucks.
Thanks in advance.
