My first serious relationship was with a girl, but i’ve only dated guys after that (i don’t see myself dating girls as much because my type is super specific and it’s hard to find queer girls to begin with). Whenever the question of past relationships comes up, the guy always assumes that I was in a heterosexual one (through texts I go ahead with this because i’m only comfortable talking about it in person). I’ve recently been using dating apps and I get hesitant bringing it up because I worry the guy would assume i’m into threesomes or sexualizing me in some way. I’m also insecure about my sexual experience with the opposite sex. I feel like there is an assumption that i’m experienced (heterosexually) from being in a long term relationship despite me only having sex with my ex-girlfriend. How do I tackle this? I feel guilty about holding back/lying about my past relationship because it is a part of who I am.
