So I’ve been talking to a girl on and off for a while. Lockdown has made dating obviously quite difficult, but recently we had outside & garden meetings okayed, so it’s become a bit easier, long as you’re not expecting anything physical to happen.

On Saturday, I initially suggested that we go on a walk over the park or something, to which she agreed, but talking about what we were into later food was mentioned, so she suggested coming over today to sit in my garden so I could cook for her. She’d bring wine. She sounded keen. Perfect! Right?

Except I texted her yesterday asking what time she fancied coming over today, and nothing. Now it’s Monday evening and honestly this feels pretty shit. I’m used to being ghosted; that’s par the course for online dating, and the rule rather than the exception, but to actually have someone suggest plans, sound eager, then flake on those plans is… frustrating, immensely. To rub it in, I have her on Instagram and can see she’s looked at my story today.

My plan is to cook the nice food I was going to for her and eat it myself instead! Fuck it.
