So I met this guy online through a dating site. I mentioned from the get-go I wanted to take things slow and see how we vibe and see if this would be a good match long term-as that’s ultimately what I want out of life.

Anyways, we’ve been talking for about 2 weeks. He’s already thrown out the L-word. He wants to call multiple times a day, every day and even when I’m busy working (even from home, but it’s still work and my job). He gets upset when I have other plans with friends and he’s pushing for us to meet up and it’s me paying to go see him (I’m not opposed to it and not pressed for cash, but it’s the fact he keeps pushing).

He was super respectful at the beginning but lately I’ve been pulling back and he seems to continually say things that make me think he is falling way too hard and too fast and I’m not ready for that or see this working out long term.

So dear Redditors my point and ask is this:

1 Is this a red flag situation?

2 If it is, how do I talk to him about slowing the heck down or breaking it off?
