it’s something i see over and over in the posts here.

the other person is awful for not replying to your texts.
the other person is awful for rejecting you in a way you didn’t like.
the other person is awful for breaking up with you in a way you didn’t like.
the other person is awful for not liking a quality of yours.
the other person is awful for having boundaries.

y’all really need to stop automatically painting other people in a bad light for not wanting to be with you. saying “well, if they didn’t like you being x, they’re a bad person anyway”, why does that make them a bad person?? a bad match, yes, but a bad person?

if i heard people talk about their ex partners or love interests the way y’all talk about them here, i’d automatically dismiss them because who wants to be the villain when it inevitably falls out?

i think the most egregious one i’ve see is a guy saying something like “i’ve been trying for 5 years to woo her and it’s not working, i’m gonna stop initiating contact with her”, and the replies were all “yeah, fuck her, she doesn’t deserve it!”. uhhh, why is she a bad person there? she just doesn’t like him. it’s been 5 years, the message is loud and clear, why is it her fault you wouldn’t accept it? we don’t even know the context, for all we know she thinks it’s just a casual friendship.

being so ready to call the other person shitty is a big red flag. just take the L and move on
