My coworkers son gave me a letter with hus number in it, we started texting and I found we didn’t have a lot in common in terms of interests or certain viewpoints. Namely, he liked guns. A lot… he also wasn’t very good at texting. We’d hinted at a date 2 times but nothing really came of it, after just texting for 2 weeks I made the decision to break it off, we weren’t exclusive as far as I know but I we hadn’t even became an item by this point, just texting. I couldn’t ghost him bc his mom works with me and knew we were texting, and I don’t like the idea of ghosting anyway…. We’d never called each other so I didn’t think it’d be appreciated for our first and only phone call to be a break up.

My dad says I should have broke it off slowly so he wouldn’t do anything rash. My mom scolded me because she thinks I didn’t give him a chance.

He was a nice guy but I really don’t think we were right for each other, what do you think?
