I want to text a girl that I went to high school with. We didn’t really know each other well, but I would classify us as acquaintances. Had some classes together, similar friends, and spoke a couple of times. It’s been almost 8 years since then.

I saw her on tinder before the lockdown, but didn’t message. I always had a crush on her, but highschool me was not a confident man. We do follow each other on Instagram and like each others posts so at the very least she remembers me.

I’ve been thinking about waiting till she posts a story or something instead of messaging her out of the blue, but she doesn’t post often, so I’m not sure what to do.

How should I go about messaging and would it be weird if it was out of the blue?
