I’ve been seeing this girl for a couplenof weeks now and I really like her and I could tell she liked me a lot as well.
But just recently I went to a small gathering of her friends and i was really awkward. I had a hard time fitting into their conversations and I think I came off as really weird and uncomfortable. I’m very socially anxious and it hit me hard this time.
I’m worried this may have put her off to me and made me seem like a weirdo and a creep. At the end of the night, when we usually would have kissed goodbye, we hugged (which could have been because her friend was nearby but her body language felt to me like she wanted me to leave).
I’m wondering at this point if there’s anything I can do? I really like this girl a lot and I don’t want things to get screwed up because of one awkward night. So far, I texted her at the end of the night and thanked her for the invite and said I had a good time (not sure if that was a good thing to do but its too late now). I have the ability to go visit her tomorrow because she works in my town and I’ve stopped in before to say hi. But I shouldn’t overdo it.
Im just wondering what I should do? I really want to keep things going with this girl if I can. Should I reach out and apologize or just pretend nothing happened?
