So I’m a 28 year old male

I’m divorced and have been for almost exactly 3 years. From that marriage I have 2 kids. I want to try to get back into dating but I’m not really sure how to go about it.

Essentially, I get really nervous when talking in anything vaguely resembling a flirtatious manner in person. Once I’m comfortable with someone, this doesn’t cause issues, but I’m probably the last guy you’d see hitting up women at a bar with any success (partly because I don’t drink). That said, online dating has been a tremendous disappointment for me. My hobbies are generally speaking solitary (traditional blacksmithing, hiking, hunting, fishing). That being the case, where and how should I try to find people when things open up again where I live?

To be more clear, what I’m specifically looking for is advice on where to meet people and how to best approach the women I want to try to date
