A study I recently read claimed that very attractive girls get hit on in public less, than uglier once. It stated, that the bar for talking to such an individual is higher do to the higher chance of getting rejected, do to a high number of other potential partners. So the men opt to go with the safer option.

While online dating the hotter girls get more attention do to a lower bar. The men don’t get rejected in person.

This sounds to me like wishful thinking. But for clarity, is that the case?
