I (29m) start talking to this woman (26f) on a online dating app over a month ago. I would like some advise on what has been going.

Backstory: matched with this girl on an online dating app and we started talking and things kicked off pretty well. We kept talking on the app then moved to chatting on Instagram and then via phone texts. We have met up a few times and it seems that there is chemistry there but something has changed since the last time we met.

Some clarification before I begin with what I think I am doing wrong and what i have noticed. This week a friend of hers had someone pass away and she has been there to support her friend which I understand. Now after our last meet up I have noticed a change in her response and response times. Normally we would chat through the day and she would let me know that was doing this that or the other. Now there will be large gaps and then she would text me sometimes stating she was busy. Now I think this can also be tied to what has happened with her friend and her attention is set there, and I just think I am over thinking this.

We have talked about where things stand and we are still in the talking stage of things. Now here is where I think I am messing up, I am sure I have committed myself into this more then she is, but at the same time it seemed we where on the same page but now I am not so sure. I also think I am looking too into the responses but there has been a change in her replies and in response I have started changing my responses as well and I know I shouldn’t be doing that.

I am open to answer any questions or to clarify anything if needed. I am looking for some insight should I bring this up in a conversation? Or should I give this sometime and see how it plays out.
