While stocking some brooms an assistant manager Stacy (shes 40 i’m upper 20’s male) asked me if I was having too much fun; and mentioned something along the lines of putting makeup and lipstick on the brooms, I was tired and laughed if off by saying its better than just staring at em for an hour, she laughed and that was it. 45 seconds start to finish. we usually just interact kinda like that when he run into each other. She does returns so we randomly meet. I’m just trying to judge this on a friendly, work flirty, bored scale.
About a week ago we met on the same aisle. We were talking a bit blander than that. She checked a spot in the fragrance section and moved a few feet away from it. I walked to where she was to stock; and saw a opened bottle of extenze 8 inches into the shelf. It was missing some of it’s pills but had a third or so left. I showed her basically immediately. “Like how did you miss that lol?” I handed them to her for for claims. Her tone didn’t change much from before I noticed them, “are those like the blue pills?” she asked. Another worker interrupted us just then. So she walked off towards the claims area.
Around the same days she walked by to drop off some shot glasses, I didn’t notice her until she motions “shots, shots shots” I justlaugh it off. The day before she walked by me mentioning how this job makes her want to drink.
I was kinda flirty with her when I first started but grew to hate the job ( just took one bad boss) and kinda just withdrawed ( “urge to quit rising”) but 5-6 months later I started feeling better and we started running into each other more again. A co-worker said that she was my girl or something (lol, I’m just here to stock, I’m zoned out 90% the time).
A week before the extenze thing an older worker 45-48 maybe got pretty flirty mentioning her house and it’s only a few minutes away but it caught me off guard ( I just wanted to work and go home), she had just transferred from another department and kept helping me with my work ( unprompted just asked and I said sure), after that for a 2-3 days she mentioned she was starting a new job. That was essentially it.
I don’t know if I’m just inexperienced or dumb. I’m kinda dorky but have gotten asked out by women more than few times. Dad was ladies man coach, guitarist, independent shipper; mom looked like Gisele Bündchen in high school.
Stacy is probably married too.
