Hi, i am a 16 year old boy and i have a best friend who is 17 years old and i think i am in love with her. She is fun, smart, a great person and I really think she is very pretty even if she says otherwise. now my problem is the following: we are internet friends.

I met her 4 years ago in an animation forum and we have been great friends since then but recently I have started to develop feelings for her and I don’t know what to do. Should I confess? Will this ruin our friendship? A relationship with someone you have only seen through photos, videos and video calls can work? I have given her hints of my feelings but she takes them as a joke so what do you think I should do?
