22F invited me to her apartment to eat dinner and work/study (both understanding the pandemic risks) for first in-person date after multiple phone/text conversations

• No expectations but I was open to seeing where it goes
• Posted her height on dating app the same as mine, it was not lol, maybe one head taller than me but that was fine
• Took out work to do while we waited for food for takeout, I used my glasses while on the computer (usually when working extended days)
• Conversation was vanilla overall, some laughs here and there, not much sharing on her part, I had to be in interview style for a lot of it but otherwise pleasant
• Ate dinner and talked, afterwards I asked “so you do you want to keep hanging out or do you have work to do” aka I can leave now so you don’t feel awkward about asking
• She mentions having work, I obliged and packed my things
• Said I had a good time, her too, very courteous, did the goodbye hug thing (different when woman is taller but just observation it was fine) and she mentioned text her when I’m back home
• I got home, not super ecstatic but happy with the night and receive the text “You left you’re fucking glasses here on purpose. You’re not slick“
• Context, she’s never cursed in any conversation text/phone/in-person
• I genuinely forgot them when we made room on table for dinner
• I messaged back essentially, “just got home, honestly forgot, no worries! I can grab them quick some day you’re free”

TL;DR Left glasses at date’s apartment who assumed I did it as some cheap trick to be obligated for return visit.

Spoke with friends quickly afterwards that mentioned that’s a thing people do, I wasn’t aware, but I understand her reaction somewhat. The glasses help but I’m not blind without them or anything. Figured I would just wait until she texts back to retrieve them, but I don’t what I would say when I see her again (if we even speak at all).

Maybe those glasses are just gone for good, thoughts on what I should do?
