During the beginning of this pandemic I matched with a girl [F22] who I really hit it off with on Hinge. We kept talking from March until now every day, and frequently called each other and facetimed each other. In the two years since I broke up with my ex I’ve met a lot of girls and none have ever made me feel the way my ex did. I thought that feeling was not gonna happen again until I met this girl. I like her so much, and she reciprocated my feelings emotionally and physically.
I was staying at my parent’s house at the time in a different state to WFH and take care of them. But this past weekend I came back and me and this girl had plans to meet. We met Sunday and Monday, and though talking wise it was comfortable, we were on different wavelengths w/ respect to physical affection. I thought I could treat her as if we’d been physically dating this whole time and she felt differently. Granted, I wasn’t pervy, it was just kisses, holding hands and holding her. Its become a little awkward now and I’m not sure how to fix things. We are planning on going to another date soon and I’m going to act wayyy more conservative. But i feel like we might not be able to recover and its made me so sad.
She feels bad because she apparently was really reserved in the beginning of her last serious relationship so maybe things will work themselves out. But I feel like I fucked up the first chance in so long to be with someone who I click with. Or maybe she got cold feet and it just wasn’t going to work. I just feel like shit. I know I’m being dramatic but I just don’t get why I can’t find love. I can connect so well with women and I’m average or above average looking. And I’ve spent the last 2 years improving myself and not basing my happiness around a girl. But now that I had a chance I’ve totally regressed
