So this year I found myself falling for a wonderful girl. She’s warm, funny, attractive and open minded. But something that concerns me is our religious differences. I was raised a Muslim, and she is Christian. We have discussed this in detail and have even acknowledged it being a potential issue, but at the end of the day we both respect each other’s beliefs and don’t see it as a deal breaker.
However, my family does not know about the relationship and if they did they will openly disapprove and hate it because she is not from my religion. They won’t be supportive. I’m trying to be open minded with it, but am I also being blinded by love for thinking this might work? Am I just hearing the views of narrow minded people? Since locally people are against such sort of thing.
She is also from a place where there’s only one religion like myself and my biggest fear is that whether or not she will be able to accept me since her family is against it as well and I am confused, I don’t want to lose her but I don’t want her to regret being with me if it’s not completely 100%
I would love to hear unfiltered advice and suggestions.
