Being gay and autistic is a terrible struggle. When I read of stories on-line of people saying that they struggle to meet people I sympathise with them to some extent, but heteros don’t have the same struggles as we do finding a mate. There’s less gay people to go around if you live far away outside any cities, and what’s more gay people tend to flock to the cities so there’s even less people to go around. The “only gay in the village” thing is a reality for many of us, and it is well known that gay people over 30 struggle even harder. My autism condition exacerbates this and it is impossible to meet anyone at all. I’m not feeling sorry for myself just analysing the situation. I know there’s a few dating websites out there that help, but the struggle is still there nonetheless.
