Unpopular opinion: Sometimes ghosting is necessary

I told myself at the beginning of this year that I wasn’t going to ghost anyone anymore. It’s rude and disrespectful. I’ve been pretty good at keeping true to that, but there’s this guy that I’ve told in more ways than one that I’m not interested and I don’t wish to have any further communication with him, but without fail, everyday I get a text from him. I didn’t want to block him because I wanted to be nice. I’m done being nice. It’s frustrating because I’m not even asking him to take a hint. I laid it all out for him. So now I’ve blocked him to stop further communication.

And this is why sometimes some people find it easier to go ghost. It’s not right, but sometimes necessary.

Quarter-life crisis incoming

I (27f) will be turning 28 in a couple of months. I am beyond terrified.

I am single at 27 trying to advance my career and also meet the man of my dreams… I’m starting to think he doesn’t exist. Anyways, I want to get married and have kids and I’m getting up there in age. I feel like in order for me to get pregnant at a “healthy” age, a lot would have to happen in the next few years and I mean A LOT.

I’m scared that once I turn 28 I’ll start getting even more anxious. No good will come of that, I know. I want to find a partner, but I’ve been let down so much over the last year. I don’t even want to put myself out there to date anymore. Or what if I find the man of my dreams and I chase him away because I’m clearly a crazy person (we’ll get to why this is clear)🤣

I have my career problem handled, or at least I did before quarantine. I’ll have to wait and see what side of this the company comes out on 🤞 But when it comes to dating/relationships I’m completely stumped. I don’t know how to tackle this one and it stresses me out because I’m known for always being able to “fix” things.

What if I lose out on the opportunity to have a baby because I can’t find someone who I want to spend the rest of my life with. I refuse to settle, but what if I get to 35 and I end up settling with someone who is a lot worse than another guy I refused to settle with in the past… These are things I think about and it stresses me out. I know you’re not supposed to stress about things that are out of your control, but I feel like I should be able to control this… Like I said crazy person.

I don’t even know if there’s any advice to be given here. I guess I’m just kinda venting/rambling.
