TL;DR can a single guy and my girlfriend be just friends

I (M/30) am in an LDR (F/26). We are currently separated due to border restrictions. Sucks. Been dating this girl for a year. She has a guy friend which she seems to be hanging out with and talking to more often (ie, bike rides & ice cream with just them two, cookouts in the park in group, texting etc). I haven’t really heard too much about him until more recently (like the last few weeks). It seems they have been hanging out more. Not like everyday, but occasionally.

They met before I was in the picture. I guess he was there when she first moved to the city and helped her out on a various occasions. As far as I know, they have had just a platonic relationship. I have not met him. Today we were facetiming and she had to stop and read his text message. I mean, tbh, I probably do it too.

I’m fine with being friends with who ever. I have girl friends. But I don’t really talk or hang out with them too much.

Being in an LDR, you are vulnerable. Being in any relationship..you are vulnerable.

Should I be concerned? I am faithful and do trust my gf, but given the uncertainty of travel abroad..I worry about there being a back up..or a guy trying to swoop in with her being naive about it?Or should I just roll with it & say a single guy with a fancy apartment (so I hear) and my girlfriend can be platonic and there’s nothing to worry about?
