First ever post so I’m not sure how to type this out properly but I will certainly try my best. I (20M) have been considering dating seeing as I’ve never been in a truly serious relationship besides some flings and short term romances if one could even call them that haha. Now I don’t take an interest in every girl I come across, hell a large majority of my friend group consists of girls. But I find that when I meet someone who I view as a possible partner I often go about it in a very passive and friendly manner and end up befriending them and before I know it we’re too close to date. Although it doesn’t bother all that much seeing as more friends is always a good thing to me. What does bother me is that there have been two girls that I was really into but the same issue occurred. I realized by then that they grew to like me as a friend and nothing past that.

What I would like to know is how do I let them know my intentions without coming off as strange or just trying to have sex? I find that one of the reasons they usually see me as a friend before it can go any further is because I don’t give enough signals to show my interest other than the occasional compliment but that can be taken interpreted several different ways on their behalf. Don’t know if this post makes much sense but it’s something that has been on my mind for a while now. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks for listening to my rambling ladies & gentlemen!
