Something some of us ladies, the most dreadful part about dating is being asked about sexual history and partner count. I, at least, always fear this questions because the reaction can be unpredictable. I personally, don’t ask my partners about sexual history or partner count. Only about lessons learned from past relationships.

I (F25) have not been asked this question by my SO (M31). However, I need some tips on how I can confidently respond if he ever asks. To be honest, I’d rather not give him my number because I don’t think it should matter. I’ll admit that it’s higher than I would like it to be because in college I fell for a lot because of pure naivety and being a hopeless romantic. I was the living embodiment of the shook pikachu meme every time I got ghosted by someone after dating for a few weeks and hooking up one or twice.

Those experiences caused a dramatic shift in how I approach sex in relationships now. I’m afraid my SO may not understand my journey.
