Why so many disabled people are single

I am in a group on FB for dating for disabled people. One of the members posted a question the question “Why are most disabled people single?” A lot of the members all seem to agree that they feel that people look at us as damaged goods. I definitely feel this way about dating and it makes me feel I am not alone with the struggles of the dating game. People who aren’t disabled don’t feel comfortable around people with a disability when it comes to dating. People do see the disability first instead of the person, I know people actually got to know sees the person but if a stranger who I was interested in and I wanted to talk but they rejected me they see the disability. Let me know really if you would date someone with a disability and I don’t want to hear the the cliche response “I would get to know the person and look past disability” because for the majority of people I know and I feel that’s not true. When is a time where you saw a person with a disability and thought that person is really attractive and I would be interested in them and actually looked past the disability?

How to be confident as a man with a physical disability….it’s hard than you think

I don’t know what I’m looking for after posting this. Maybe I’m venting, maybe I’m looking for advice, maybe I’m just looking and wanting someone to be in my shoes for a change. I am 28 years old I was born with a disability. Making friends and finding women who are attracted to me has been very hard. It’s hard trying to date when you are born so different and cause chaw the way you are. People are always like find someone with a disability, but let’s be real no one wants to date or be in a relationship with someone so different. Not even a person with a disability wants to date someone with a disability, and I know first hand.
