I’m sure this will probably get lost and may just come off as a rant, but if anything I need some sort of advice I guess. I’m just getting out of a really long term relationship, 7 years but with a little break in between, and the thought of being single is terrifying right now with how the dating scene seems to work for my friends. At 27 I feel as though I’m going through a divorce (but thankfully with none of the paperwork) and I really don’t understand how people bang so easily when it seems like I can’t even get a girl to even want to kiss me. My friends talk about having had sex with 30 to 60 different women and I’m honestly shocked because I don’t think I’ll ever even clear 5. But then I have other friends who literally can’t get women at all. It’s like there’s no in between, you either fuck or you don’t. I realize this isn’t a competition and that most women don’t want just a hook-up, but why does it seem like my buddies who are just as good looking and don’t even put that much effort into talking to a woman just get laid so easily? I feel like being myself doesn’t work, like I’m just not an attractive person on the outside or the inside, and the one person who was attracted to me is now pretty much gone from my life and having sex with everyone she meets because it’s that easy for her. I’m trying to remain confident and just work on myself before trying to go out and date, but after reading about other guys experience of using dating apps and seeing a few of my other friends not get laid for over 2 years, I feel like I should be preparing myself for being single and not having sex again for the next decade. I hate making a move on women because in my past it hasn’t been accepted well on the other side, even when they do like me. I just hate making a woman feel like I’m a creep and doing things to make them uncomfortable but idk how to make a move with out it feeling awkward and creepy.. really what I need help on is how do I pull the trigger with someone when I finally do get a date? I guess the other thing would be how do I get over women completely rejecting me and just moving on instead of feeling like I’m never good enough for anyone?
