21M, never dated or have any friends. Dealing with social anxiety and being isolated for the last three or so years. Deciding to better myself and go to college in a year or two. Basically starting from square one socially, and I know relationships are far out, but I also understand these are important years I’m wasting.

In regards to finding a boy/girlfriend, some people say to let it happen naturally over the course of time, but others say to actively seek out a partner. I’m asking since I’ve read lots of stories of those who reach 30-35 never having met someone where it went anywhere beyond friendships or acquaintances. I have zero experience with girls, so what’s the best thing to do?
