Online dating creates an illusion of "wanting better"

Not that there’s anything wrong with “wanting better” but it’s part of the reason why all of us struggle so much online.

So I just recently use Tinder during quarantine out of boredom, got a few matches but all the conversation with 99% of the girl didn’t last longer that 10 texts. But I matched with a pretty girl, got nice chemistry and we texted constantly for two week and I even got her snapchat. Then I matched with another girl who’s prettier and I liked her bio really much so I slowly forgot about the previous girl and started to invest in this new girl more. But after a week or so she stopped replying to my text so I tried to get back with previous one but she also lost interest after I barely texted her anymore.

And that is it, I’m back to square one. Then I realize how stupid I was: It’s like I’m driving almost to my home and think to myself there’s a faster road to get home so I turn my car around to try that other road, I won’t ever get home if I keep doing that. I can see why online dating is so frustrating, you either getting ghosted or ghosting your one shot at happiness.
