I (31m) met this girl(31f) on Tinder and we’ve been dating for about 6 weeks. We now see each other 2 maybe 3 times a week and have stayed over at each other’s place. We have not reached the calling each other “boyfriend/girlfriend” stage yet.
When I’m with her she is very affectionate towards me – cuddling up to me, kissing, etc. She says stuff like “I really like when you’re around” and “I missed you these last few days”. A few days ago she said “I really like you”. This is all great. I feel the same way (note too, she’s the one who initiated all this talk).
The only problem is that she never sets up dates and rarely texts me first. I’m always the one to suggest ideas and lock down times. I’ve tried to get her to do it a number of times but it’s very hard – I’ve tried planting the seed. The last time she didn’t confirm the date time until 10pm the night before.
I feel exhausted from making all the effort to make contact during the week and set up times to see each other (for the record she has never turned down a date). I’m starting to feel paranoid about being the “needy” one as I’m always asking “Hey, what are you up to this weekend?” trying to nail down dates so I can a) see her again and b) plan my week.
I’ve tried not messaging for a while to see what happens. She will message me but it will be about something trivial. I feel that if I didn’t make an effort to arrange a time to see her then nothing would happen at all.
Would anyone have any advice on what I could do?
