23F, Just pondering how some peeps long for serious, committed long-term relationships but leave at the drop of a hat.

We expect partners to be compatible to us emotionally, physically, intellectually and pretty much in every way, isn’t that too much to ask for all in one go? We often tolerate suboptimal behaviour from friends and family but not always run away, why can’t people now have the same patience for (non-abusive, not toxic) romantic relationships?
