I identify as non-binary and present as female in all my dating apps and everything right now. Since there isnt usually an option otherwise I select I'm trans female to better align expectations of who may be looking at me, which I dont mind and is alright for the most part since I do explain more in my bios.
It seems to be all too common that guys will say something like my ex was/is trans or something along those lines on dating sites and apps and what not. I assume as a way to make me feel better about considering them but it just seems like they come off more as a chaser. I don't know if theres something I'm missing in the subtext or if they're bad at conversation bringing up their ex, whoever it is. Anyone have any thoughts or maybe how you suggest responding?
