I’ve never posted before so I’m not really sure how well this will do, but any advice would be very much appreciated!
Some back story – I have been single for about a month and a half, I left because I was unhappy but my ex is trying to make my life difficult. The girl that I’m speaking to I’ve been speaking to almost since we broke up – she has been single for roughly the same amount of time, except she was with her ex for 6 years and they ended because he cheated on her.
We have been speaking everyday and she’s so smart, intelligent and engaging in conversations. We talk about our futures, ideal holidays, pet names and we even do personality tests and compare our answers. If we’re busy during the day I’ll get updates every few hours of her doing uni work or opening a bottle of Prosecco at 4 o’clock or how she’s onto her 5th book of the week. She makes me so genuinely happy but how do I know if she’s looking for a friend to fill the void missing from her boyfriend or if she’s interested in dating me?
We’re both 21 and have both expressed how much we dislike relationships because of how they turn out. She’s said on multiple times that I’m “in the 1% of guys” which I can only assume is a good thing.
I’m thinking of asking her on a date after lockdown has been lifted, I just don’t want to rush in preemptively and possibly ruin a relationship for being too quick and rushing it, or a great friendship with a very down to earth girl?
I’m not typically shy or awkward around people I know, however she’s my boss. I’m a deputy manager so above me is my boss – well she’s their boss. I’m not intimidated, I’ve just dated people from work before and it’s ended pretty badly. She’s currently in stage 5 of a 5 stage interview process for a new job being an area manager for a different company so that’ll make things easier, if she gets the job that is!
As I’ve said any help at all would be appreciated, any questions I’m happy to answer too!
