Because of the current pandemic, I’ve come to terms that this is not going to be a good year for dating. Just when I’m starting to feel like I could be in a relationship again after my last relationship a couple years ago, of course.
Going out and meeting people organically isn’t really possible atm. Even if restrictions get lifted, a second surge is likely, and I think people will err on the side of caution when they choose who they physically hang out with in general, especially when it comes to OLD and meeting up with someone they’ve never met before.
Is anyone dating right now and having success? I find a lot of my conversations on OLD die out because when are we going to meet? No one really knows when this will be over.
What do you think will be the outcome of social isolation/distancing when it comes to dating? Do you think OLD will be even more normalized now with everything going virtual?
And do you think not being able to easily date will make people realize they miss human connection or will modern dating continue to be a hopeless void of people who lack commitment and communication skills because of the endless options that technology provides them?
Interested to see people’s opinions on this.
