Dating is a rollercoaster, don’t give up.

This is what has been working for me lately and I really hope it can help anybody who is struggling. Obviously this is a challenging time overall but nonetheless there are many opportunities. I’m a male but most of these can apply to both men and women.

Ways to find dates 1. Your social circle 2. Work, obviously not ideal for a lot of people but I personally do not have any issues. 3. Dating apps, not a huge fan to be honest. I don’t take a lot of pictures of myself and not really into social media so these factors do not help. Would like to work on this overall. 4. Somebody you previously thought was attractive but never made a move on. Never hurts to send them a text and see how they’re doing.

When it comes to dating limiting yourself to one person hinders your success rate significantly. Even if someone is not necessarily your dream girl/guy, it doesn’t hurt to get to know them. These experiences will boost your confidence and make you less needy towards that one person you’re obsessing over. The higher your expectations the more you will fail, be patient some weeks your phone will be dryer than the Sahara desert.

Work on yourself, this is probably the most important in my opinion. 1. Workout, target those areas you feel insecure. Build that confidence and it will go a long way 2. Eat healthy, there is no one gender that should be in the kitchen. If cooking is something foreign you should best start learning now. 3. Get outside, being tan will never hurt your chances of finding someone. Also can lead to meeting some really awesome people. 4. Drink water, just do it lol. 5. Guys be a fucking gentlemen, nobody likes a fuckboy or a douche. This honestly deserves a whole separate post. 6. Meet new people, don’t be superficial. Everyone has something to offer, being a good person will get you far in life. 7. Make sure you’re working towards some kind of goal, ambitions are attractive. Whether it’s in school or the workplace, don’t be a lazy ass. 8. Hobbies, if you find yourself constantly scrolling through social media please find a hobby. Something meaningful that you will look back on and not slap yourself in the face for instagram stalking people way out of our league.

Lastly is “planting your seed” this is where the patience really kicks in. Don’t expect a date right away, people are going through all kinds of shit. If they seem flaky or uninterested, give them space. There’s a good chance that will come back when the time is right. Find something that you and your “potential” date have is common and can laugh about. Flirting and laughing go hand in hand, most likely if your crush is laughing you’re doing something right.

I had a great time writing this up, I really hope this can at least benefit one fellow human. <3
