At least the way I’ve been dating which is through tinder/hinge. I’m (23F) so drained from dudes constantly wanting reassurance that I’m interested in them. Constantly wanting to talk on the phone or text. I’m tired of the “I guess I’ll just leave you alone” texts if I don’t reply when they want or expect. It really turns me off to dating in general. I haven’t met anyone who isn’t in a rush to push me into this weird role of giving them constant attention. Or trying to make me their gf as soon as posible. 15 min into a tinder match and the guy says he thinks I could really be the one for him… It’d be so cool to just connect with someone without them thinking I’m going to commit any part of myself to them. Dating has felt like dudes just trying to squeeze any small bit of human affection and attention they can out of me by taking my existence personally. It’s as if they’re really expecting another person to make them happy and complete them. And because we matched on a dating app I’m that person?? I really don’t want to be the only reason why you smiled today. Texts like that actually rub me the wrong way. Like I cannot be the only fulfilling thing you got going on in your life..it’s so odd to me especially if we just started talking. I guess I’m going to try meeting people irl
