I (23/M) started talking to this girl(20/F) about a month ago. She told me her ex cheated on her and it was a nasty divorce.
Before the date she acted seriously into me. We hit it off so well I never hit it off with someone like this before. We had a great first date where we could have hooked up if I made a move, but I told her I don't do that on first dates. (more on this at bottom)
She messaged me first after the date and we talked for a bit and agreed to do something again soon.
Now we met off tinder and I know she's talking to other people, snapping them, whatever. But we talked for a few days after the date and still had pretty good conversations. I then told her that I was starting to like her. This is where I started getting left on open. She said she "maybe had the same feelings for me" before feeling like I got ghosted a bit. Anywho, she was talking to someone else till like 6 am in the morning. I noticed that I wouldn't be the person she would respond instantly to anymore.
So one night I just straight up asked her what's happening and if me saying I was catching feelings or whatever was too soon for her, also tried to set up the date one last time before asking.
She just kept saying I got busy idk. But eventually told me she wasn't looking for a relationship because of her divorce, and she just likes "spending time with someone". We got to a point where I told her I didn't make a move because i was a virgin and she was just like "you should have been honest!"
It was serious mixed signals, but we agreed to be friends. So now we have conversations like before, since we hit it off so well all that's really changed is probably no sexual flirting.
Main question is, since I don't know the thought process of a woman after going through a nasty divorce. Is it possible we actually date in the future? I ask this because I do not think(or know if) someone keeps in contact with every person they meet off tinder after talking with them.
